
The Senior Manager, Data Governance is responsible for overseeing the data governance framework and ensuring data quality across the organization. This role plays a critical part in shaping data management strategies and compliance within AIA Malaysia.
In this role, you will engage with various stakeholders to implement data governance policies and practices. You will work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes collaboration and innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement data governance frameworks and policies. - Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards. - Collaborate with IT and business units to establish data quality metrics. - Monitor and report on data governance initiatives and progress. - Conduct training sessions on data governance best practices. - Facilitate data stewardship and ownership across departments. - Lead data governance meetings and workshops.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance or data management roles.
Strong understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., PDPA).
Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certification in data governance (e.g., CDMP) is a plus.
