Job Description
Sunway Education Group is seeking a Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will gather, analyze, design, and document user and business requirements while participating in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Responsibilities include developing and maintaining software applications, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring adherence to secure coding practices. Collaboration with team members and stakeholders is essential to deliver projects on time and to support seamless data exchange through system integrations.
Job Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of working experience in software development and relational database management systems (RDBMS).
Competent in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, Bootstrap, and SQL.
Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and system integrations.
Knowledge of software development best practices, version control tools, and application deployment.
Experience with microservices, .NET, Node.js, Python, React.js, Vue.js, Flutter, or React Native would be an added advantage.
Exposure to low-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, OutSystems) or Oracle Forms and Reports would be an added advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Possess high initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
