Aggressive Management and KPIs drives professional growth and collaboration across various departments
HR, particularly certain HOD whose name starts with D with plenty of experience in the company, behaved as discipline teacher in high school, discourages employee engagement by selectively enforcing rules to employees that makes people wonder if sexism, racism and other discriminatory mindset is a common practice among HR personnel. For a company that values Gallup results, complaints to HR does not yield positive improvements but only lead to spread of misinformation to uninvolved parties. No other place to go other than Glassdoor to post a real comment, and can’t even rate a low Gallup score given it’s tied to KPI. Although I’m a loyal employee, several incidents made me question why am I still here.
Commitment to training, and belief in wellness.
Hierarchy and silos prevent much change. Restricted by job title/level to get things done.

Probably the only pros are having Ikea and Alexandra Village Food Centre in the vicinity. Oh and how can I forget the 5.30pm shuttle bus service
Do your research before accepting the offer, particularly if the hiring manager is the SDOA of A3 cluster. Old school management style. She will conduct sales meeting every Monday morning which lasts around 2hrs (other clusters’ meeting only last around 30mins max) where she will take turn to “grill” everyone in the team. You will have to prepare your sales forecast and come up with justifications. This is distribution sales, not direct b2c sales. There are many factors which are beyond control but she can’t seem to understand. On top of all these, favoritism is clearly shown to certain BDMs in the team. Definitely a red flag for whoever is considering to join Tied Distribution.

Good benefits, you’ll meet great people and easily make friends, and there is work-life balance.
Leadership now is too political, hard to climb up the ladder since you need to follow what they want and sharing your thoughts is sometimes seen as “fighting back” instead of brainstorming, & yearly employee performance grades are usually not based on how well you do the job, and there are a few upskilling opportunities.
