Pros

Smart and capable coworkers who genuinely care about delivering quality work

Cons

Over time, I’ve become more and more disappointed with how employees are treated. There’s a clear gap between what leadership says and what actually happens. We’re told the company is doing great, but soon after, bonuses are reduced or removed entirely. In some cases, previously earned incentives were even cut retroactively, which felt unfair and deeply frustrating. There’s a strong expectation to constantly go above and beyond, yet rewards and recognition don’t follow. In fact, bonuses have been pulled at the last minute without any prior notice. It creates a culture where employees are asked to give more and more, while receiving less in return. Layoffs seem to happen every year without clear reasoning, which adds to the sense of instability and fear. On top of that, politics play a big role in decision-making across many layers of the organization, particularly within the design (cannot say more for the head of it) and some software teams. This makes collaboration harder and creates an environment where performance alone doesn’t always determine outcomes. Leadership talks a lot about transparency, growth, and valuing employees, but those words rarely turn into action. Instead, it feels like short-term messaging to keep morale from dropping too quickly, rather than a real commitment to the people who work there. Overall, trust in leadership has significantly declined. Many employees feel undervalued, unsupported, and uncertain about their future with the company.

Manager

Pros

The people, complimentary stay benefits, private insurance and flexibility.

Cons

Unkept promises about compensation adjustments, non-transparent communication of salary implications due to company changes, bonus structure changes for already worked-for performance bonus.. No development opportunities, no focus on employee satisfaction only on business goals. Going above and beyond is treated as the baseline expectation, yet there is no reliable system to reward it. Performance standards exist in theory, but if the compensation tied to them can change at any time, they are ultimately meaningless. Some departments get real investment and attention from leadership while others don't. When improvement efforts do happen in those teams, nothing comes of it, especially when the conversation turns to how people are managed. Concerns are heard and then ignored. No mentoring culture here either (unless you're lucky with your manager). Managers aren't expected to develop their teams in any way that is holding them accountable to do so meaningfully. You'll get feedback, but ask about concrete goals or a career path and the conversation goes nowhere.

Pros

The managers don’t care about the company so that being said you can get away with not working but collecting a paycheck as long as you use big words in meetings to make it sound like you know what you’re doing. Fake it till you make it @ BG!

Cons

Management will lie to you over and over about your future at the company. They change quotas MID quarter if the team is doing well. They’ll promise a raise within a certain time frame but I promise you’ll be laid off or quit before that ever happens, managers will make sure of that. They say you have perks but then do not let you use them. Don’t expect to get to travel using Blueground’s, which is a big selling point for them during hiring, because they will say no. Never ever be honest with your manager if you are unhappy with anything because they will gaslight the f out of you and turn it around on you. And tell you should be happy to have a job. I could go on and on with cons but I’ll just say do. Not. Work. Here. They will promise you a ton and pretend they’re a cool start up environment but don’t fall for it! Xoxo
