Systems are a mess and has endless problems with it. It is frustrating to work on and it has come to a stage that there are more problems than solutions working on it. The other problem is that management don't listen to their staff. They approach a "I don't want to hear it, fix it yourself" attitude and that is not always possible and very bad for business.

-> Poor management. The manager didn't knew their people that well and sometimes felt some pressure in the team which was not needed. -> If you want to learn, you need to do it on your own. As a professional, you will feel a downgrade. Not that many opportunities to grow on a programming language.

People who are in management position are there because they have worked long enough not necessary because of their management skills.

Structure, workload, limitation with growth

poor career progression, the need to please everyone is too high, need to make connections to improve standing for promotion

- Too much bureaucracy, redtape - Management has lost touch of market needs to penetrate into new accounts. Assumes that sales staff are "do-it-alls" without providing proper tools to attack the market - No marketing activities done to excite and entice market. Relying very much solely on brand name. Due to this other competitors have taken over recently. - No clear career guidance. Only when one tenders resignation that Management - Often have issues with providing stock & spare parts. Very detrimental as clients often need proper deadlines to continue operations - Efforts are not appreciated. - Too much paperwork as systems are not streamlined. Management needs to review its processes

It seems that Canon has in the past few years, become insensitive to their employees. I was with them 8 and a half years, and was given no loyalty to my time working for them.

Hard to sell the main products available as the market is shrinking.
