Work life balance. Better pay
Software engineer
You are the master of your career at Deloitte so you can find projects that interest you
Not a strong in person culture
Consultant - engagement financial advisor
Great in office culture and teams
Client work can vary based on size
Senior consultant
- very flexible with WFH/ office preferences - preferred day for office working but not tracked or enforced - new office (if that matters to you) - no experience of being mirco managed
- no pay rise for 2-3 years (at all) - poor bonus (around £1200 pa) - little to no say in projects you roll on to - preference shown to those who have came up through the ranks of the 'brightstart program' over others (esp in year end outcomes) - misleading info around promotion and your expected rate of progression (you are told promotion is to be expected well within 1 year, then at the end of your first year, then at the 2yr year-end point, then 'a min of 2-3 years' is expected) - People Leads who are more experienced and respected amongst those who make promotional decisions seem to have better success having their delegates promoted - axed the budgets for social events and professional qualifications with constant empty promises to revisit what can be allocated to these

Nice colleagues, but depending on your luck
No work life balance and too much overtime
Audit manager
good exposure in different engagements and technical accounting knowledge
no much welfare given by the firm
Consultant
Great pay, generous holiday time and PTO, pretty good benefits and brand prestige
Very long hours and leadership can be toxic sometimes. Difficult to keep WLB
Looks good on your CV
Terrible pay, terrible culture, terrible systems
