long hours during busy season

Leaders are rather nepotistic, so if you are not "connected" in some way, you may never get promoted nor get assigned to projects. For some weird reason, these Leaders also seem to prefer promoting youngsters who are fresh out of College or University over time above immigrants with a lot more years of experience. If your project happens to end and you are unable to get yourself on another within a few months, you may be also be laid off. I found the organization a weird one, its Leaders, even more so.

Working with US clients and colleagues takes a toll on work life balance. Back to back projects burn you out.

As you get more and more experienced as a technical person, it’s difficult to find a role that isn’t mostly managerial.

Had to work overtime and work on the weekends sometimes as my client was from the US.

Some times it might get a bit too much as in the pressure will be built up if coping up isnt happening and you fall behind.

As is with consulting, hours can be long some days

The pay is not great especially for a such an expensive city like San Diego

A little bit hectic because it's basically a lab holding workshop facilitator.

The demands are high, and it’s easy to burn out. Expect long hours and a lot of pressure to meet targets, often at the expense of your personal time. Salary is pitiful even at higher seniority roles, often it doesn't match the cost of living.
