Pros

Great perks, room to grow creatively. Zero micro management. Variety of project possibilities to work on locally. Comfortable office environment .

Cons

Management changes mind a lot causing confusion in direction and wastage. Though having said that, economic climate and market sentiments play a role in this.

Pros

1. Relationship based management. If you have any connection with the senior management, then you can surely get a job without question. And your performance will be protected regardless. 2. Good salary package. Pay for your Carpark and can claim a lot when you travel for business. And if you are hired from #1 reason above, nobody will question your claims as long as your boss approves. 3. Good office environment. Got tea lady to come and fill your water up everyday without you going to pantry. 4. Flexible management. The bosses do not micromanage staff and even if your performance is not as good, as long as you are hired from #1 above, you will still get good bonus.

Cons

1. No collaboration across departments. Every head of department just looking after own interest. So you need to do the dirty and good job at the same time for your boss. 2. Existing legacies. A lot of senior citizens who were hired by big bosses, and been working for them since day 1. These people do not want to understand and accept new/ better ways of doing things. Yet, bosses don't want to let go of them because of loyalty. You will suffer when you deal with them. 3. Inefficiency of work. A lot of departments still like to handle papers and refuse to adopt efficient process, which causes a lot of backdated work. Hence, they hire people for hands and legs instead of brain. 4. It's a dark dark world. Whatever the company has decided to do, nobody would know the thought thru process, except Dato Seri himself and his beloved clans. So if you are a straightforward person, you will suffer this non-transparency practice. 5. Lack of career progression. You are hired and continue to do the same job until you resign. If you want to transfer and your boss doesn't approve, you might as well resign because your boss will now know that you have no loyalty to her/him.
