Good work life balance, nice colleagues
Very slow progression, only one day WFH
Manager
Great benefits and travel perks.
Hard to build a career, don't give in seat promotions, must change roles or departments to get promotions (even this is difficult).
Acounting associate
Free parking with unlimited access to bathrooms and water
Lots of back-stabbing and corruption, accounting error cover ups. meetings just lead to more confusion
Event manager
- Decent Pay -Yearly increases -Incredible Health, savings, stock benefits -More flexible culture (depends on property/GM)
Thoroughly enjoy my position, of course just wish it paid a bit more.
Function space manager
Great position with awesome benefits and work life balance
Not enough upward mobility depending on area.
Concierge
There were some foreigners working at the hotel in Tokyo. The company provided housing.
The payment was really low as to be a foreigner. The shift was created every 2 weeks, it was difficult to organize your personal agenda due to the waiting of the shift done.
Assistant event manager
Peaceful island setting with nature and eco-tourism focus Experience in resort hospitality & island event planning Could help with organizing a future festival in Perhentian
Very remote, difficult to visit my mother frequently due to deteriorating health Fewer career growth opportunities compared to city-based roles Limited social and professional networking Seasonal business, which may affect long-term job stability
Director of operations
Unique and dynamic, Inside and outside. Day to day is never the same, always on the move.
Work, days, nights, weekends, doubles, holidays, and everything else in between. Pay is below standard for the experience. Sacred cows are still running departments with little or no expectation of delivery.
Marketing coordinator
Culture is great 👍 and enriching
None that I can remember
Event coordinator
Great growth opportunities and benefits.
Not really any cons besides maybe out of normal work hours.
