There are some amazing and inspiring people working within this company. They offer a decent healthcare package, good employee discounts on Marriott-brand hotels, and, in my experience, prioritize promoting from within.
The company loves to put staff in meeting and rallies to talk about how much they are valued but consistently denied them resources needed to make their jobs easier, keeps hotels drastically short-staffed, and refuses to move forward with the times keeping perks/benefits like hybrid work, bonuses, and several others reserved for upper-level management.

None I can think of
Front office manager
Marriott discount is the best benefit
Work to pay ratio doesn’t match
Gm
Loved it meeting guests and overseeing great team.
Having to be on call 24 hours a day.
Chef
There are so many opportunities for growth in Marriott
no cons i can think of
Senior sales executive
Very close knit teams Lots of room for growth Good company values Great benefits
Pay was not always up to par with other similar industries
Sales and services specialist
A Fortune 500 company with terrible health benefits. I have no pros.
Benefits are terrible. Micromanaging is their way.
Lead bartender
Money is good for the position
Long hours and very stressful
Bartender/barista
The management is lovely, the customers and the actors who come in from the hippodrome were definitely as highlight. Money off of hotel rooms was amazing and there were other great benefits.
The bar coworkers were some of the meanest people I’ve worked with. When I first got there the manager was super mean but she got too many complaints and left. The evening bartenders were some of the meanest people I’ve ever worked with. Besides Maryann. They act like they make a lot of money, but there’s no way they make as much as I make now or have in the past. There is no money in that restaurant, I was making $300 a week, I know they probably werent making much more. They also didn’t follow health code on a lot of things. Mike was super mean. I worked the summer of 2022 and then I got out of there.
