As of now there's no cons!

Pay should be higher, my team is facing a significantly high attrition due to this Plus Gurgaon just isnt the same as Bangalore

Too many politics, no mentors and backstabbing

slow to move from one tittle to another

No work life balance, long working hours

Too much red tape, boxed roles, little room for movement

Limited growth at higher career levels Many roles require intense hours.

The con is they don't offer fully remote work.

Hard to move laterally within the company

No onboarding. As a minority do not get a real culture of diversity and inclusion. Your success or failure is dependent on how good your manager is or isn’t.

Platform projects get boring after a while

Discrimination within the workplace to minorities but Mastercard claim to be a diverse company! Not the case and minorities are treated different than others.

Poor Salary, Short staffed Teams

Growth is stagnant. Pay is not competitive.

Sometimes leaders can have a different culture of the company as any individual

Work culture is not good

None that I can find

Overtime all the time, overwhelming amount of work. Siloed, slow development teams - in some cases it may take years to deliver basic features. Bureaucracy at it's worst. Yearly salary raises are negligible, they don't even cover the inflation. No employee stock purchase plan available, you can't have a piece of the business you're working to build. People are strangers for the most part. A lot of patting on the back in corporate town halls for all the achievements but the reality is very different. Internal career growth is only possible if you have time to immerse yourself into your desired position by helping someone who's already there. Which you won't due to being overloaded with your own work.

Not a lot of cons i can come up with

They are a big company and they move like it: slow (sometimes too slow), risk-averse (a bit too much at times), and there sometimes can be a thing as too much collaboration…but it’s to be expected with such a complex business and industry.

Would prefer a less political work environment. Not all people leaders should be in such a role and fundamentally lack the skill to lead a team.

LTI unpredictable, it always driven down to mid level positions

- If you become threat to your Lead/Manager then be ready to face his torture. In this case even if you complain to HR they will not do anything. - Yes, there is office politics in most of the teams.

Career development is abstract and can be complex

Bringing people back into the office

No cons for me till now.

Nothing as of now. They are good in every aspect.

Extremely bureaucratic, takes a long time to execute projects

All of my pros may not be consistent across teams. As with most places, bad managers and ICs are hard to root out. Still, leadership & HR are attentive and generally responsive to (legitimate) feedback.

Work and life balance. Amount of time it takes to get work done.

- At times maintaining work-life becomes a challenge. - Switching jobs between department has stringent screening process equal to candidates hired externally.

Minimal pay rises Management could be more proactive

The pay is a little lower than average

Bad for people who like to sleep in the day

Senior are not good in giving guidence

Same with most companies but pay equity and job promotion opportunities are not for all at times.

Need PR and network skills

Growth tends to go down as you spent more time

We work at full capacity, sometimes we overwork
