Pros

- A lot of opportunities to touch base on, a lot of different things and aspects to work on. You get to work with a lot of different parties and build professional relationships. - Colleagues are generally nice and helpful. - Flexibility in time (7am-4pm/8am-5pm/9am-6pm/10am-7pm) - Good employment benefits (does not apply when under probation). Replacement leave or encashment provided if needed to work on weekends. - Accessible by public transport; bus (to MRT and LRT).

Cons

- Heavy workload, 1 person handle 3-4 projects or more. Contributing to high turnover rate as management refuses to hire more staffs to manage workload. - Poor cash flow management. All financial transactions done by CEO directly and takes forever to process. - Lack of leadership in office

Digital marketing

Mar 19, 2026

Pros

Able to explore the parenthood industry and e-commerce industry in Malaysia. Other than that, learn latest trends and ways to optimize digital ads on various platforms.

Cons

The board of management keeps changing ideas at the last minute and expects delivery within a short time. The CEO sometimes loses track of the original plan of the project and questions why certain actions are taken even though they were explained at the first place. Sometimes, the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that have been set are unrealistic because the company is afraid of losing potential clients. The budget provided for digital ads does not match the current market price. The website itself is finding it hard to compete with other companies in the same industry. It does not meet the SEO standards set by Google. The communication between departments is not really strong, and it's particularly difficult to communicate with the head of the technology department.

Pros

Not that I can think of

Cons

Management: Poor management by the co-founder/lady boss, who operates based on personal preference. If she likes you, you can get by without much oversight. But if she doesn’t, nothing you do is right—even tasks that aren’t your responsibility. Exploitation of Staff: The 13th-month salary is paid quarterly instead of all at once, as a way to manage the high turnover rate. They may withhold remaining payment if you tender your resignation. Job Scope: You’ll often be expected to take on tasks outside your role, even if someone else is officially in charge. Those favored by the founder are allowed to avoid responsibilities, leaving extra work for others. No increment: Due to high turnover, you may be asked to take on additional roles until a replacement is found—a process that can take years or may never happen. Despite the extra workload, there’s no proper compensation or salary increase. Requesting a raise is often viewed as challenging management. Lack of Respect for Boundaries: Management often disregards personal boundaries, frequently messaging after 11 p.m. with the expectation of an immediate response, claiming they’re sending it “just in case they forget.” You’re also expected to work on weekends without any additional compensation.
