There really are no cons

Too much work to do sometimes.

Redundancies and changing culture with flat structure.

No issues noticed so far.

Contractors have the same responsibility as a regular employee, but are not treated in the same way. It is extremely rare to see a contractor being considered and hired for a regular position. If that is your expectation, this is not a place for you to work. Promotions and side hustles often only occur for a small group of people. As time goes by, you can see that some current leaders are relatives (sons, nephews,...) of former directors, leaders managing people of their own family (nepotism), and so on.

too PC internally and hard to get candid POVs when they are not inline with majority thought
