1. You will be hired as a Lead software engineer but the job description will not match your job. 2. The code base and infrastructure is completely taken hostage by the vendor companies like the most heard of service based companies and as a Prudential employee you have to run behind them continuously. 3. The technical architects are useless and have an inflated ego. For any disagreement they will have good excuses like I am working in a multi billion dollar company and you have no prior experience. So I can do and tell whatever I want. 4. The same architect is here from last 2 years and does not have a dev environment setup in his local system. It is hilarious to note that the same person self proclaims himself with dubious titles like gatekeeper of api models. It is such an immature thing to say. 5. As a Lead software engineer, you would think that there is a team of engineers who would be led by you, that is just a myth and the team is not accountable to you nor to your manager. 6. The code base is pathetic. Imagine a class 5 student just learning to code an if else logic. Scale it upto 800 classes having 20 if else statements. The tech architect does not even see that this can be put into a design pattern. Why would he, as he is intoxicated with arrogance on being an employee of a multi billion dollar company. HAHA HAHA
