Working at PwC helped me build technical skills quickly. The name carries weight on a resume, and I appreciated the formal training early on.
As an Audit Associate at PwC, I experienced one of the most grueling work environments of my career. The busy season is relentless — you’re expected to completely sacrifice your personal life for nearly four months out of the year. Late nights until 2–3 AM are not uncommon, and weekends are often treated as regular workdays. What made the experience worse was the lack of support from senior team members and management. Rather than fostering a collaborative environment, seniors and managers frequently overloaded associates with excessive tasks while providing minimal guidance. When help was offered, it often came with condescending attitudes, dismissive remarks, or outright belittling. There was little to no regard for employee well-being. Despite putting in long hours and significant effort, I was laid off after two years with little explanation or appreciation for the sacrifices I made. Overall, my time at PwC left me burned out and disillusioned. I would not recommend this role to anyone who values work-life balance, a supportive team, or long-term career growth.
Senior associate
Good work life balance depending on the team you're assigned to - very good mentorship from all levels, and ability to form close relationships with MD and partners due to the smaller size of teams. Flexible working environment with mix of remote and in-office work.
Repetitive and often long-term projects can lead to burnout quickly. Fast turnaround of employees can add some difficulties to team dynamics.
