Cons
They are still getting over the tax scandal and you can tell it’s a bit directionless at the top

- In office policy is pretty relaxed, most people are in 2-3 days per week on average, in busy season it tends to go up and in less busy times people go in much less. - Firm benefits are amazing, healthcare plans and 401k match are good, time off is accrued but carries over YoY and paid out upon leaving if you have balance left. - Large start class if you begin out of college is great, there are not many companies where you can start your career with hundreds of other kids in your same office in some cases so you get to meet a ton of people and build your network early. - Learning and development is a huge part of our job, constant opportunities to grow your knowledge base in both your specific field as well as branch out to other topics. - The firm pays for CPA study materials from Becker along with one of each test. There also is a CPA bonus which is amazing. - Opportunities to get involved in your community outside of work with different groups and organizations and we get paid time off to do community service which is wonderful. - A lot of firm sponsored happy hours and fun events are put on for your specific groups which allows you to meet co workers and partners in a relaxed atmosphere. - The holiday party and promotion party are amazing, the firm goes all out and puts on amazing events. The pay scale is extremely transparent which allows you to know exactly what you will be paid at the next levels as well as bonus percentages. Bonuses are based on performance and you are placed into three different buckets to receive a percent of your salary.
- Busy season hours aren't great, it seems like we are slightly understaffed and it begins to show during our busiest months. - Some individuals are promoted to the next level a bit early, not allowing them to develop fully which in turn has negative impacts on team productivity and work product. - Similar to every firm, you will run into some managers and higher ups who micro-manage. There is no way to review higher ups, only to review people lower than you in the management structure so there is nobody giving feedback to these people over their management styles.
