The company promotes a positive and inclusive work culture. Team members are friendly and supportive. I appreciate the opportunities to contribute and grow professionally.
No at the moment, so far so good
Company very close to my home. Compensation wise for retrenchment was pretty good. But the benefits are just 'meh' for most of them. This company was the company that jumpstart my career. Other than these, nothing else stands out.
Nothing is rewarded here, no matter how much you do or try its never enough. Your confidence will only plummet here. This company actually gave me ANXIETY. This was my FIRST real professional job and it gave me anxiety. They literally gave me mental disorder. The upper management doesn't even know what they are doing most of the time. They don't listen to advice, they disregard thing's you say just because they don't like you. They do it their own way and when it doesn't produce result they want, they blame you. They blame their designers on SALES btw, hahahahaha Almost all of the employee in my department was retrenched. The reason they gave was to cut cost blabla etc bunch of other excuse. The one's should be gone is not gone, the one's should NOT be gone are gone. One of the retrenchment criteria was "Last come, first go" but me and few of my colleagues that was one of the FIRST employee they hired when they started this official marketing department, we still got let go. Which is hilarious. When I first worked there I chose to stay in office to 12am just to try my best to learn everything and do everything, showing that I can do it. I go back to office on WEEKEND. Everyday I work and learn what I can, with MINIMAL to NO guidance. Countless days of UNPAID OT, to the point that I was known for my OT at a period of time. I wake up, I work, I go home, I work just to catch up and improve. All that for what. bunch of praises with empty promises. I was paid the bare minimum with yearly increase and no raise. When I ask for raise, it's always rejected, the reason is always I didn't do enough. It's never enough. One of the comment's I received from upper was, " sometimes always doing OT will only give the impression that you are not good at your work". Here's another one, "maybe you should do more, like do more work outside of you job to show that you are doing work" . Best company ever. (P.S. This review is probably gonna be removed, if it is, you know why)
A company that will take care of you, and there's so much to learn from here.
Occasional language barriers might be a challenge in terms of communication. Occasionally though.
Good benefit in family outdoor allowance, optical
Limited skill can be learnt for certain position.
Cannot name any besides you just want to pass time here.
This company is a real mess. Management is clueless, and the CEO, some ex-HR person, seems like a puppet for the founder, who's got a shady past with the DOJ. Just Google 'Wong Ong Hua' for the juicy details. Trust me, you won't find a bright future here. Don't waste your time. Plus, they've got ongoing legal issues, so who knows what's next.
Benefit is really good among the industry
Poor Management for the company
The core business has a decent moat. It's not really defensible but I've always opined that as long as no one's trying to actively take its business away, the company remain small enough to be ignored by major competitors. That isn't to say it's tiny. In fact, its historical achievement and very existence are nothing short of amazing. Bootstrapping a $100+ million business from a rural location in a third-world country is undeniably deserving of praise. Founders, the key shareholders, and top executives are tightly knit, so the company's culture is focused, at the top.
International dramas aside, key stakeholders are QUITE xenophobic, and this results in a regrettable degree of monoculture and corporate maldevelopment. Process automation feels like it's stuck in the 90s. Various business functions feel out of control, as they're held together by tribal conventions. This is common in small companies, of course, but not all small companies need to be this way. Information security is holey. Skill development is short. Talent management is limited.
Good if you are good with the bosses
You are just a worker
Good company culture, treat and train up new staff nicely.
No cons for me so far.
