Anonymous employee
None aside from the discretionary PTO.
-Terrible management -Hostile work environment -Managers with no email or verbal etiquette -Sales team quite literally does not care if you live or die. Someone in a thread I was in passed away unexpectedly, and while I offered sympathies to our other colleagues, there was a salesperson who completely bypassed sympathy and demanded an update for the issue at hand. -No valuable or worthwhile training -Told less than a week ahead of time that no one in NORAM would receive bonuses, but salespeople still received their bonuses while the rest of us who do their jobs for them got nothing. -Management takes no accountability -5 manager changes and 4 title changes in two years - completely unstable. -Less than a 3% change in salary in 2 years.
Npo digital account manager
Nice environment, great coworkers and leaders, great training on Software.
Not organized and processes aren’t the best.
Aws consultant
SoftwareOne, great for those into professional services! Want to learn and grow within either of the cloud providers, MS license resale business, vmware,SAP, Oracle consulting. FinOps, Cybersecurity and many others across 98 countries and all customer verticals.
People are complacent, parts of the company is still with the old license selling mind-set. Part is moving extremely fast into selling AI & ML services via Cloud. So chose carefully.
Consultant
perks, WFH, employee benefits, ESPP, RSUs
I don't find any, the company has recently transitioned a very big org structure change very smoothly.
Services
Not much good happening in this company.
The company in Australia is run by an absolute megalomaniac who is power hungry and has no clue about people management. Overall the company is managed as a franchise and strategy keeps changing every few months. With a new acquisition due to come onboard soon, leadership is scrambling to hold on to their seats and many good people have left or are being made redundant. Stay well clear if you are considering joining!
Country manager
Good place Good place Good place
Hardwork Hardwork Hardwork Hardwork Hardwork
Healthy work culture with competitive environment
Less clarity and lack of communication with leaders
Sales leader
Culture within the org. is world-class and SWO US is led by an incredible stable of driven and visionary individuals in the top leadership positions (Pres., RVPs, ASDs). While the sales org. is extremely competitive and very results-drive, that is true of most successful sales organizations and should be seen as a Pro to those who desire to be great in this field
Shared Services internally (systems, support, etc.) are in the midst of a "renovation" but you have to crack a few eggs to make a good omelet so I wouldn't consider these to be long term issues and I think you'd be hard pressed to find a company of this size where there weren't a few systems and processes that could benefit from such a makeover. At least SWO is investing in the improvement and the plan is well communicated to the field.
Senior procurement specialist
Good place to work and learn new things
Management people need to look after the employee.
Account manager
