React vs Vue vs Svelte in 2025 — which should you learn for the Malaysian job market?

by Caleb Yong·May 25, 2026

Based on actual Malaysian job postings I scraped and manual searching over 3 months.

React: Dominates. Roughly 65-70% of frontend roles in Malaysia that specify a framework require or prefer React. If you're learning frontend for employability, React is the clear choice.

Vue: Second most common, particularly in older Malaysian tech companies and SME digital projects. Softer learning curve makes it popular for teams where frontend isn't the core competency.

Svelte: Rare in Malaysian job postings. Growing global mindshare but not yet reflected in local hiring. Good to know conceptually, not worth prioritising for employment.

Angular: Still present in enterprise and GLC-adjacent development shops. More common than Svelte but less than Vue.

Practical recommendation: Learn React first. Build something real with it. Then Vue is easy to pick up as a second. Svelte is a nice-to-have.

Night owl vs morning person is a chronotype, not a character flaw. Flexible hours that accommodate both types improve output for both without anyone sacrificing.

Sleep hygiene at work is the cheapest productivity tool available. 7—8 hours of sleep outperforms any cognitive supplement or tool I've tried.

Blue light glasses and screen time limits after 9pm changed my sleep quality noticeably in two weeks. Simple change, not negligible impact.
