Job Description
The Operations Engineering Specialist role involves applying in-depth knowledge in a specific area of specialization within established professional standards and practices. The Specialist handles moderately scoped problems requiring judgment, and works under minimal supervision while collaborating with managers on unusual issues. The role may include leading project teams and building internal and external relationships to support job responsibilities. Typical tasks include providing technical expertise on materials, performing quality audits and risk assessments for suppliers, coordinating new product launches, translating customer requirements into factory activities, solving process and quality issues, selecting and qualifying manufacturing equipment, and developing and automating test and assembly processes. The position requires strong knowledge in engineering principles, manufacturing processes, quality standards, material sciences, IT platforms, and project management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three to six years of relevant experience.
Ability to apply in-depth engineering knowledge in operations engineering.
Capability to analyze and solve moderately complex problems with sound technical judgment.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and deadlines.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality standards, and statistical process control methods.
Competence in database management, computer skills, and IT platforms relevant to engineering.
Capability to perform risk assessments and quality audits.
Ability to develop and implement test and assembly strategies and automate processes.
Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and operating machinery.
