Accounts Executive (GL) at Big Bad Wolf Books - Selangor

The Accounts Executive (GL) is responsible for managing the financial and accounting operations of the organization. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance while supporting the Finance Manager in various financial tasks.

In this role, you will engage in the monthly closing of Management Accounts and oversee daily financial operations. You will work in a dynamic environment that requires collaboration with various teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly closing of Management Accounts, including journal postings for fixed depreciation, pre-payments, and accruals.
• Finalize bank reconciliations and manage daily financial operations encompassing full set accounts (GL, P&L, AP & AR).
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and assist the Finance Manager with variance analysis.
• Support month-end closing, yearly audits, tax, and budgeting activities.
• Oversee and monitor the work of subordinate account executives.
• Manage PPE by ensuring timely fixed assets recognition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
