Role Summary

The AP Payments Team Leader is responsible for managing the Accounts Payable team within the Global Business Services division. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the finance shared services function and enhancing operational effectiveness.

Job Description

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with Corporate Accounting Guidelines. You will also lead the transition of accounting knowledge from local finance offices and foster professional relationships with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
  • Manage the transition of accounting and finance knowledge from local offices.
  • Improve operational effectiveness and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Accounting Guidelines and meet month-end and year-end deadlines.
  • Provide guidance and development opportunities for team members.
  • Maintain professional partnerships with internal stakeholders.
  • Handle requests in accordance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLA).

Job Requirements

8-10 years of experience in finance processing in a high-volume environment, preferably in SSC/BPO.

At least 3 years of management experience, ideally managing team leads.

Master or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent certification preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and transactional activities.

Experience in process migration and/or system implementation preferred.

Proficiency in enterprise systems (e.g., IFS, SAP, Oracle) preferred.

Excellent written and verbal English skills; additional Asian/Hindu/Arabic language skills advantageous.
