
The Assistant Manager, Maintenance (Chargeman) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance activities across various properties. This position requires strong leadership and technical skills to manage teams and maintain high service standards.
The Assistant Manager, Maintenance (Chargeman) is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with standards and efficient service delivery. This role involves managing client relationships, supervising technicians, conducting facility inspections, and coordinating maintenance projects. The Assistant Manager will also provide training, prepare reports, and ensure vendor compliance while promoting a strong safety culture.
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Must possess a valid BO Chargeman (11kV) Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia.
Minimum eight (8) years of experience in facilities maintenance or building operations.
Strong knowledge of Electrical Supply Act, Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations, and IEE Wiring standards.
Hands-on experience in electrical systems, as well as basic mechanical system operations and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of ISO 14001 is an added advantage.
Good leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple sites under tight timelines.
