Role Summary
The Consultant - Data Governance & Privacy is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Sunway’s data governance and privacy framework. This role involves driving key initiatives across the Group to ensure responsible, secure, and compliant data practices while collaborating with stakeholders from various business divisions.
Job Description
In this role, you will engage in day-to-day activities that involve enhancing data governance and privacy practices within the organization. You will work closely with diverse teams, gaining exposure to various operations and data environments across Sunway’s 13 core business divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of data governance and privacy frameworks.
- Drive key initiatives to ensure compliance with data practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address data governance challenges.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate data privacy risks.
- Monitor and report on data governance and privacy metrics.
- Provide training and support to teams on data governance practices.
- Stay updated on data privacy regulations and best practices.
Job Requirements
Degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Business, Data Management or related disciplines.
Experience or knowledge/interest in data governance, data privacy, and information security.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of data management and privacy tools and technologies will be an advantage.
Preferably 2 years of related experience in advisory and implementation.
