AutoCAD Drafter/Designer – Rack Master Industries Sdn Bhd

This role is for an AutoCAD Drafter/Designer who prepares detailed 2D drawings and coordinates with various teams to ensure plans meet required standards. The position involves updating drawings based on feedback and site conditions while maintaining compliance with company and project requirements.

The AutoCAD Drafter is responsible for preparing and producing detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software as needed. This role involves creating plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings based on design concepts and updating them according to mark-ups, feedback, or site conditions while ensuring compliance with company standards, codes, and project requirements. The drafter works closely with engineers, designers, architects, project managers, and site teams to resolve design and technical issues related to drawings and coordinates drawing revisions with clear documentation. The role also includes maintaining and organizing drawing files, managing versions, and preparing drawing sets for tender, authority submission, or construction. Site visits to take measurements or verify existing conditions are required when applicable. Additional responsibilities include assisting in preparing bill of materials, shop drawings, and as-built drawings, providing drafting support for tender submissions and project proposals, and reporting progress and issues to the lead designer or engineer.
