The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and negotiation activities to optimize procurement costs for Continental's Malaysian plants while ensuring material availability and compliance.
As a Buyer, you will manage sourcing and negotiation activities to achieve the best Total Cost of Ownership for parts and services across Malaysia's plants. You will handle the timely conversion of purchase requisitions, ensure compliance with SOPs within the NPM Hub, and coordinate closely with logistics and order management teams to maintain material availability and ensure on-time supplier deliveries while determining appropriate Incoterms.
Diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or purchasing.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in using MS Excel for planning, reviewing, and analyzing inventory levels.
Knowledge of the SAP MM Module is considered a significant advantage.
Self-motivated and capable of working effectively under pressure.
Willingness to work on-site at the Petaling Jaya location.
