Job Description

The Cath Lab Staff Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures. This role includes patient assessment, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care while ensuring high standards of patient safety and infection prevention.

Job Requirements

Registered Nurse with a valid nursing registration/licence.

Diploma or Degree in Nursing; post-basic qualification in Critical Care, Cardiology, Cath Lab, or a related specialty is an advantage.

Current BLS certification; ACLS certification is preferred/required according to hospital policy.

Relevant clinical nursing experience, preferably in Cath Lab, CCU, ICU, OT, or other acute-care settings.

Good knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation, emergency management, medication safety, and patient monitoring.

Strong communication, teamwork, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.

Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies.

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and on-call duties as required.
