Role Summary

The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for leading the property's sales department to achieve booking and revenue goals. This role significantly impacts the hotel's performance through strategic sales initiatives and effective marketing campaigns.

Job Description

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the sales department, guiding a team to meet and exceed sales objectives while managing marketing efforts. You will collaborate closely with regional marketing communications to implement brand strategies and ensure the property stands out in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead proactive and reactive sales efforts to achieve booking goals.
  • Provide daily leadership and coaching to sales associates.
  • Manage the marketing budget and develop property-specific campaigns.
  • Collaborate with regional marketing to implement brand initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales channels and external partners.
  • Oversee the development of promotional strategies to enhance revenue.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Job Requirements

Education of a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years of experience in sales and marketing, or a 4-year bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience.

Preferred qualifications include a 4-year college degree and demonstrated skills in supervising a team.

Experience in lodging sales and hotel industry work showing progressive career growth.

Ability to manage strategic sales plans and develop strong working relationships.

Skills in managing marketing budgets and leading a sales team.
