The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas. This role includes managing daily housekeeping operations, supervising staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction while adhering to budget and operational standards.
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing the daily shift operations of the housekeeping department, recreation/health club, and laundry if applicable. This role involves directing employees to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas, conducting inspections, and ensuring corrective actions are taken to maintain guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the operating budget.
High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related professional area, or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major with no work experience required.
Ability to communicate guest room status to the Front Desk and coordinate with the Engineering department on maintenance needs.
Experience supervising cleaning schedules and daily housekeeping operations while ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
Capability to manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain an effective inspection program for guestrooms and public spaces.
Skills in managing departmental controllable expenses and understanding financial reports to achieve budgeted goals.
Strong customer service skills including handling guest problems and complaints and empowering employees to provide excellent service.
Human resources capabilities including staffing supervision, training, disciplinary procedures, performance appraisals, and participation in hiring processes.
Ability to maintain property policies fairly and consistently and support employee training and orientation programs.
