Role Summary

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring guest satisfaction through the maintenance of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the hotel.

Job Description

In this role, you will oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards. You will conduct inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary to uphold guest and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily shift operations of the housekeeping department.
  • Direct employees to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of guestrooms and public spaces.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate with the Front Desk regarding guest room status.
  • Supervise cleaning schedules and daily housekeeping operations.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain an effective inspection program for all areas.
  • Handle guest problems and complaints professionally.
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related area.

2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major is acceptable with no work experience required.

Experience in supervising cleaning schedules and operations.

Strong understanding of financial reports and budget management.

Excellent customer service skills.
