Job Description
The Field Application Engineer at AMD works closely with account managers to quickly penetrate the enterprise market. This role provides technical support to enterprise customers, server OEM/ODM, and ISV partners who build solutions on AMD EPYC-based servers, helping solve technical and product issues related to customers' workloads or applications through various communication channels including email, phone, and on-site visits with some travel required.
Job Requirements
3 - 5 years previous technical experience is required.
Ability to take ownership of technical and product issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English fluently.
Excellent organizing skills that enable effective multitasking in an interrupt driven environment.
A team player that can work with different functional units to meet the customers’ needs.
Proactive, self-direction and highly disciplined
Working experience on AMD or Intel x86 platforms.
Server and Client performance benchmark, optimization/tuning and debugging experience on x86 platforms is required.
Familiar with Windows, Linux at kernel or driver level.
Experience of the server software ecosystem in one or more areas including OS/Hypervisors, AI/ML Frameworks, Compilers, Libraries, debug and development tools.
Familiar on variety of technology such as KVM, Kubernetes, Qemu, Container, DPDK, SDPK, No sequal databases etc.
Commercial AI, HPC experience and Datacenter GPU knowledge is a big plus.
The preferred candidate should have a combination of relevant academic and professional experience.
The minimum qualifications associated with this position are Engineering or Computer Science Degree with 3+ years of preferred experience.
