Role Summary

A non-management Finance & Accounting role responsible for managing cash operations, auditing cashier banks, and maintaining accurate financial records at Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu.

Job Description

As a General Cashier, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records by checking figures, postings, and documents. You will organize and secure cash and cash equivalents, perform period-end closing procedures, and audit cashier banks according to SOPs. Additionally, you will manage petty cash, act as a liaison with banking institutions, and participate in internal and external audit processes while maintaining high standards of professionalism, asset protection, and confidentiality.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

At least 1 year of related work experience in finance or cash handling.

Proficient in using computers to record, store, and analyze financial information.

Strong mathematical accuracy and attention to detail for checking figures.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect company assets and guest privacy.

Excellent communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.

Physical ability to move or lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team to reach common goals.
