The Geoscientist - Opportunity Generation role at ExxonMobil involves providing geoscience technical support and expertise to oil and gas development projects and production operations. The position requires collaboration with multi-discipline teams to support optimal asset development and operations, applying geoscience skills in reservoir description, development planning, opportunity generation, and production optimization. The role includes integrated reservoir modeling support with responsibilities such as integrated geoscience interpretation, including subsurface mapping, well log analysis, seismic interpretation, sequence stratigraphy, structural analysis, and the integration of production and reservoir engineering data. Opportunity generation through planning, evaluation, and execution of field development and well programs is also part of the role.
Candidates should be self-motivated and focused on achieving business results through a multi-discipline team.
Demonstrated teamwork and effective communication skills are essential.
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics or Earth Sciences is required.
A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in upstream oil and gas is required.
Expertise in integrated seismic interpretation including quantitative interpretation, opportunity generation and prospect evaluation is required.
Previous experience in mature production assets will provide an additional advantage.
