Role Summary
The Global Classification Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate classification of materials within TD SYNNEX’s product portfolio. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with import and export regulations while supporting various projects and activities.
Job Description
In this role, you will engage in day-to-day activities that involve identifying and maintaining HTS and ECCN codes for products. You will work in a collaborative environment, providing classification support and resolving queries related to import and export activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify correct HTS and ECCN codes for materials in TD SYNNEX’s product portfolio.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of HTS and ECCN in material master records.
- Handle and resolve queries related to classification.
- Provide classification support for import and export activities and projects as assigned.
- Apply comprehensive technical knowledge of regulations to transactions, issues, and projects.
- Request, record, and maintain product information from vendors.
- Organize and conduct periodical audits on data integrity.
- Provide HTS and ECCN classification guidance to authorized third parties.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience in import/export compliance or classification.
Knowledge of HTS and ECCN codes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills in English.
