Role Summary
The Hindsight Economist is responsible for executing Overall Model Validation and Production Performance Lookback for manufacturing sites. This role involves collaborating with site economists and engineers to enhance planning models and profitability in refinery or petrochemical environments.
Job Description
In this role, you will engage in monthly backcasting processes to analyze production data and identify improvement opportunities. You will work closely with a centralized team and site personnel to optimize production planning tools and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly backcasting processes to analyze production performance.
- Collaborate with site economists to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Optimize planning models and tools within manufacturing environments.
- Execute Overall Model Validation for production planning.
- Analyze molecule management to enhance profitability.
- Work with engineers to refine production scheduling processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on performance lookback analyses.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree, MSc., or MEng in Chemical Engineering.
More than 5 years of experience in refinery or petrochemical manufacturing.
Experience in production planning and scheduling.
Familiarity with planning tools such as LP models.
Knowledge of manufacturing economics is preferred.
