Role Summary
The Internship ELV Engineer (Data Centre) is responsible for supervising and providing technical support for extra-low voltage (ELV) systems in data centre projects. This role involves ensuring the effective integration and operation of various systems while collaborating with diverse teams.
Job Description
In this role, you will engage in day-to-day activities that include overseeing the installation and maintenance of ELV systems in a dynamic data centre environment. You will work closely with site installation teams and various stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the installation of ELV systems such as access control, CCTV, fire alarm, PA, BMS, and structured cabling.
- Prepare material take-offs and cost estimates for project planning.
- Manage site installation teams to ensure adherence to safety and technical standards.
- Coordinate with various disciplines for system integration and handover processes.
- Assist in system testing and commissioning activities.
- Prepare associated technical documentation and reports for project tracking.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ELV systems as needed.
Job Requirements
Good understanding of ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, PA, BMS, and Network Cabling.
Familiar with Malaysian construction and electrical safety regulations.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Multilingual ability (English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese) is an advantage.
