The role involves conducting comprehensive market research on chemicals used in Malaysia's oil and gas sector, including supply chain analysis, regulatory review, and competitor evaluation. Responsibilities include analyzing industry trends, market demand, and forecasting market size segmented by upstream, midstream, and downstream categories. The position requires designing and implementing surveys targeting key stakeholders such as oil companies, chemical suppliers, and contractors, gathering and analyzing primary data to identify industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Candidate should have or be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Business Management/Marketing.
Required languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Must be available for a minimum of 3 to 6 months for internship.
Minimum CGPA of 3.00.
Must be willing to relocate to Selangor, Malaysia.
Research Skills: Competence in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data from both primary and secondary sources.
Communication Skills: Ability to produce clear reports and present data effectively.
Analytical Thinking: Profound ability to analyze survey data and generate actionable insights.
Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel for data analysis, PowerPoint for presenting) and survey tools (e.g., Google Forms, etc.).
Familiarity with the oil and gas sector, particularly the chemical requirements for drilling, refining, and related processes is an advantage.
