Job Description
This internship involves providing technical support to users handling hardware, software, and network issues both remotely and in person. The role includes hardware maintenance, software support, user training, documentation, and enforcing security compliance. Additional tasks cover inventory management, communication with users, collaboration with IT team members, cloud management involving server monitoring and project setup, and domain hosting management.
Job Requirements
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred, though an associate degree or relevant certifications with practical experience may be accepted.
The internship duration is a minimum of 6 months.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues is essential.
Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), productivity software (Microsoft Office, G Suite), and business applications is required.
Familiarity with remote access tools, antivirus software, and security protocols is necessary.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent can enhance credentials.
Experience in IT support roles including technical assistance, hardware maintenance, software support, and user training is desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
Experience in maintaining accurate records, user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles is important.
Ability to work collaboratively with other IT staff to resolve issues and implement upgrades is required.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including server monitoring and billing management is advantageous.
Experience with domain hosting services such as Cloudflare, Hostinger, Name.com, and Exabytes including DNS record configuration is expected.
