This internship role involves supporting exhibition operations by assisting with event setup and teardown, working with suppliers, recruiting teams, and managing invoices. It provides practical experience in the events industry.
This role involves assisting in the build-up and tear down of exhibition projects throughout Malaysia. The position supports event conceptualization, development, onsite execution, and post-event reporting and analysis. It also includes sourcing and communication with logistics, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations, recruiting temporary event crews, managing invoicing and payments, handling customer and client correspondence, staying updated on industry trends, and collaborating with other departments. Additional ad-hoc operational tasks may be assigned.
Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent.
At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Executive specialized in Exhibition/Event Planning or equivalent (Exhibition industry knowledge would be an added advantage).
Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin.
Computer literate and well organised with pleasant and outgoing personality.
Able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work under pressure and long hours when required during the exhibition period.
