Role Summary
The IT Executive - Microsoft Technologies is responsible for the effective operations and administration of servers within a medium to large Windows environment. This role involves handling complex Windows issues and providing high standards of technical support to end-users.
Job Description
In this role, you will engage in day-to-day server support, proactively monitor the server environment, and participate in system implementations. You will also be responsible for resolving technical issues and ensuring the smooth operation of server systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Windows servers in a medium to large environment.
- Provide day-to-day server support independently.
- Monitor server performance and capacity planning proactively.
- Resolve complex Windows issues and technical problems.
- Conduct daily system monitoring and security checks.
- Manage user accounts and permissions effectively.
- Recover systems from hardware or software failures.
- Participate in system implementation for production, testing, development, and disaster recovery.
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent; or Diploma/Professional Certificate with minimum of 2-5 years of working experience in Windows System Administration.
Experience in various operating systems, security, LAN technology, communication protocol and mediums, internet technology and configuration is an added advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills, team player, highly motivated, well organized, and result oriented.
Knowledge and experience in Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V, Microsoft SQL Database, Citrix and VMWare administration are additional advantages.
