The IT Manager at Sheraton Johor Bahru is responsible for overseeing all technology planning, decision-making, implementation, and maintenance at the property. This role involves supporting property and technology information resources objectives by applying advanced knowledge and skills in technology and hospitality business. The IT Manager ensures the property's technology needs are met, manages projects and policies, and maintains information systems and technology goals while coordinating with vendors, owners, and property staff.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
2-4 years of experience in a similar position.
Knowledge of technology systems and general hospitality business.
Ability to use computers and computer systems for programming, software setup, data processing, and information management.
Experience in monitoring and maintaining property-based systems and equipment.
Ability to analyze information, identify problems, and propose solutions.
Experience with system backups, recovery functions, and administration of hardware and software.
Ability to manage IT hardware/software inventories and provide internet and cable management support.
Technical expertise in supporting hardware/software issues and system performance feedback.
Knowledge of compliance with laws, regulations, and standards related to IT operations.
Capability to enforce IT policies and standards to protect company resources.
Skills in project planning, prioritization, and resource management to meet deadlines and specifications.
Effective communication and coordination with teams and vendors to resolve IT issues.
Ongoing technical knowledge updates and application of new skills to the job.
