The Lab Assistant is responsible for conducting sample testing and analysis in accordance with the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This role involves working under the supervision of the team leader and assistant team leader, ensuring a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Job Description
As a Lab Assistant, you will engage in daily tasks that include sample preparation and laboratory maintenance. You will work closely with the team to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct sample testing of leaves and soil according to SOP
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of both indoor and outdoor laboratory areas
- Execute preliminary analyses such as cutting and grinding leaf, fruit bunch, and soil samples
- Monitor HSE compliance on a regular basis
- Carry out repairs and maintenance as required
- Assist in preliminary analysis of oil palm fruit bunches
- Serve as the duty officer on a rotational basis
- Perform other tasks as directed by laboratory management
Job Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field
Familiarity with laboratory procedures and safety protocols
