Job Description
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations, including building and grounds maintenance with an emphasis on safety, security, and asset protection. This role manages budgets, capital projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation while ensuring regulatory compliance. The Maintenance Manager also assists in emergency response leadership and works to improve guest and employee satisfaction through effective communication and training.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related field, including technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing, or a 2-year degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major with 2 years experience.
Ability to manage physical plant equipment such as refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and facility safety standards.
Experience managing budgets, preventive maintenance schedules, service contracts, and capital expenditure projects.
Ability to develop and supervise maintenance plans, project plans, and oversee contractors to ensure timely completion within budget.
Strong communication skills to build relationships with external entities and support guest satisfaction.
Capability to conduct property inspections and maintain building and equipment licenses and certifications.
Leadership in safety training, fire protection, and emergency procedures.
Supervisory skills to manage staffing levels and provide employee feedback to meet operational needs and financial objectives.
