The Mill Cadet Engineer (MCEP) is responsible for gaining hands-on experience and training in mill operations within the palm oil industry. This role prepares participants to become skilled Mill Engineers by providing practical insights and expertise in engineering, process management, and safety.

Job Description

As a Mill Cadet Engineer, you will engage in day-to-day operations at various mills, working closely with experienced engineers to learn about mill processes and safety protocols. This one-year program offers a dynamic work environment where you will develop your engineering skills and knowledge in the palm oil sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in mill operations and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in process management and optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Support training sessions and workshops for fellow trainees.
  • Document findings and report on operational performance.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities.

Job Requirements

Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related engineering fields.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Basic understanding of engineering principles.

Willingness to be relocated at the FGVPI's mills around Malaysia.
