The Product Specialist at Dell is responsible for coordinating infrastructure and managed services engagements within assigned accounts and territories. This quota-carrying role involves working closely with Dell account teams and business units to grow services and provide solutions tailored to customer business needs, involving occasional travel.
The Product Specialist (Services Account Executive) coordinates all infrastructure and managed services engagements with customers and partners within their assigned territory and accounts. The role involves collaboration with Dell Account teams and business units to grow Dell Technologies services and overall business. The Product Specialist applies subject matter expertise to identify and solve customer business needs by providing solutions using Dell's products and services. This is a quota-carrying sales position that includes occasional travel.
8-10 years of related experience in a relationship selling role with good knowledge of technical products, vendors and families of technologies.
Good knowledge of product configurations.
Strong oral and written communication skills with customers, support personnel and executives.
Experience with modern workforce solutions based on Microsoft and other similar OEM partners.
Good exposure to Cyber Security and Business resilience solutions.
Prior technical experience in delivery or presales is an added advantage.
Skilled at working in virtual teams and influencing others to implement specific strategies.
Self-driven and motivated individual to drive the business.
Team player who builds relations and has a commitment to quality.
Strong communication, selling, customer relations and negotiating skills.
Good time management and personal organization.
Complete understanding of services delivery life cycle.
Sales and financial skills are highly desired.
Experience in pursuit, close, and successful execution of large, complex wins is a competitive advantage.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Minimum of 10 years of project management or pre-sales experience.
Prior experience with strong services business management background is critical.
Strong experience in selling infrastructure solutions and services centered on Microsoft, VMware, RedHat, Nutanix solutions, MultiCloud solutions like Private/Hybrid/Multi Cloud, Data Center consolidation, Gen AI and AI Infrastructure, Disaster Recovery and Data management.
