Role Summary

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation and contract administration in construction projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial efficiency and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description

The Quantity Surveyor will engage in daily activities that include preparing budgetary estimates, managing contracts, and collaborating with various stakeholders in the construction industry. The work environment is dynamic, requiring frequent site visits and interactions with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit budgetary estimates from tender drawings and Bill of Quantities.
  • Manage cost estimation, progress claims, and variation orders.
  • Evaluate claims and prepare contract awards.
  • Check contract documents and recommend contractor valuations.
  • Monitor materials and construction costs, site valuation, and final accounts.
  • Assist in contractual issues and contract administration duties.
  • Acquire quotations and collaborate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
  • Coordinate with the finance department on payment matters and project cash flow.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Professional Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Experience handling High Rise Projects.

Willingness to work at the construction site.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD; knowledge of Glodon is an advantage.

Knowledge of construction methods, costing summary, and materials budget handling skills.

Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Highly reliable and confident in handling data.
