Role Summary
The Safety Health Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations at the construction site. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel involved in the construction of the new SMK Denai Alam building.
Job Description
In this position, you will oversee daily safety operations at the construction site, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including the Public Works Department and the main contractor, to promote a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety laws at the construction site.
- Prepare regular safety inspection reports.
- Conduct safety briefings for all site workers.
- Collaborate with JKR and the main contractor on safety matters.
- Monitor compliance with site SOPs.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain safety documentation and records.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related fields.
Registration with DOSH/NiOSH as a Safety & Health Officer (Green Book).
Relevant experience in construction safety management.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
