Role Summary
The Senior IT Engineer - Microsoft Technologies is responsible for the effective operations and administration of servers in a medium to large Windows environment. This role involves handling complex Windows issues and providing high-standard technical support to end-users while ensuring the security and integrity of the server environment.
Job Description
In this role, you will manage day-to-day support of the server environment independently and be part of a team that leads system implementation for production, testing, and development, as well as disaster recovery. You will also perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Windows servers in a medium to large environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Windows issues effectively.
- Provide technical support to end-users and ensure high service standards.
- Implement system changes and upgrades as required.
- Monitor server performance and security regularly.
- Collaborate with team members on system implementation projects.
- Prepare documentation for system configurations and procedures.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Windows System Administration.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V, Microsoft SQL Database, Azure, and VMWare administration.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work out of office hours and be on standby 24/7.
