
The Speech Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive services for the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. This role involves conducting patient assessments and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
In this role, the Speech Therapist will engage in daily patient assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to address individual needs. The work environment is collaborative, involving continuous professional development and adherence to healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct patient assessments to identify communication and swallowing disorders. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care. - Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly. - Provide education and support to patients and their families. - Engage in continuous professional development activities. - Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
Degree in Speech & Language Therapy / Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology.
Valid Practicing Certificate by the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council.
A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Preferred).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Empathy and active listening in patient interactions.
Collaborative leadership within a multidisciplinary setting.
