The position is for a Teller responsible for assisting customers with money transfers and providing information related to remittance, including exchange rates and charges. The role involves handling transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining proper documentation in compliance with relevant procedures.
The role involves serving customers by providing explanations on remittance information such as exchange rates, charges, and terms and conditions. Responsibilities include verifying customer ID, guiding customers in filling application forms, handling money transactions, inputting transactions into the system, seeking supervisor approval when required, printing and managing transaction receipts, handling cash allocation, performing general documentation duties, and ensuring remittance transaction activities meet the Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards.
Minimum SPM or Diploma in Business, Finance, Banking, or related field.
Basic numeracy and computer literacy are required.
Additional certification in banking or money services is an advantage.
1 to 2 years of experience in remittance, banking, customer service, or cash-handling roles; fresh graduates may be considered.
Familiarity with remittance systems such as Western Union or MoneyGram is an added advantage.
Strong cash-handling skills with high accuracy are required.
Good communication skills in English and Malay; additional languages are a plus.
Ability to process transactions quickly and accurately is needed.
Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities are required.
Understanding of AML and KYC procedures is necessary.
Ability to work under pressure and manage high customer volume is required.
The candidate must be honest, trustworthy, and responsible.
Attention to detail and a strong sense of integrity are important.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional appearance and positive attitude are expected.
Willingness to work on weekends or public holidays based on company schedule.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required.
