This role is for a Teller responsible for assisting customers with money transfer services and providing explanations on fees and remittance information. The position involves verifying customer identification, processing transactions, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and service level agreements.
The role involves serving customers by explaining remittance information such as exchange rates, charges, and terms and conditions. The employee is responsible for verifying customer ID, guiding customers through the application form, handling cash transactions including identifying counterfeit money, inputting transactions into the system, and obtaining supervisor approval when required. Additionally, the role includes printing and stamping transaction receipts, maintaining documentation, managing cash allocation with the supervisor, performing general filing and documentation duties, and handling all remittance and settlement activities in compliance with company policies and service level agreements.
Minimum SPM or Diploma in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
Basic numeracy and computer literacy.
Additional certification in banking or money services is an advantage.
1 to 2 years of experience in remittance, banking, customer service, or cash-handling roles; fresh graduates may be considered.
Familiarity with remittance systems such as Western Union or MoneyGram is an added advantage.
Strong cash-handling skills with high accuracy.
Good communication skills in English and Malay; additional languages are a plus.
Ability to process transactions quickly and accurately.
Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
Understanding of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures.
Ability to work under pressure and manage high customer volume.
